The Full Moon occurs at 12° Virgo on Tuesday March 3, 2026 at 6:37am in New York, USA. It is a Total Lunar Eclipse and Blood Moon. It is also the Worm Moon. The aspect is a growth sextile to plentiful Jupiter. Also happening is an auspicious sextile with Venus and Uranus. A Full Moon happens when the Moon is 180° away from the Sun, exactly opposite. It is the time to present completed projects to the public and receive feedback. During the full Moon cycle we have to balance home and family with career, what we want with what we have internally and externally. A Total Lunar Eclipse and Blood Moon increases the significance of this Full Moon who’s effects can last for the next six months. So, let’s use our intuitive instincts to inspire action in our projects, plans and dreams.
LIGHT and SHADOW
Lunar Eclipses brings all types of relationships into assessment based on current feelings and situations. Lunar Eclipses can bring something to light while obscuring something else. It is not a good influence to make strong, long term decisions under, being that something important may not be apparent. It is a good time to assess feelings and deal with old emotional response systems and baggage that are weighing you down. Decisions can be made after the full picture becomes visible. The Lunar Eclipse can be a drain on your energy and may bring on a challenge to balance what is needed both internally and externally. Family, home and close relationships may be challenged by what is perceived to be needed in career, work and community responsibilities. This influence has the nature to flip your focus due to strong emotional truths that are revealed. If you’ve been on a work roll you may feel the need to flip your attention to your health, family and friends. Or it could be the opposite. A relationship in the beginning stages that has been progressing slowly may now pick up speed as both realize they want something more. A relationship that you come to realize is not a healthy one will begin to fade as you get tired of holding on to it without seeing progress. In ancient times Lunar Eclipses were said to remove a female influence from your life that is no longer appropriate. Keep in mind you could be that female that decides to remove herself. Significant endings are initiated by a Lunar Eclipse. Remember, when something ends it opens opportunity for something new and more viable to take its place.
The Lunar Eclipse is sextile to retrograde Jupiter which could bring opportunity and/or indulgence. You may start to plan that much needed vacation and find a really good deal. There’s also a craving for comfort foods, expensive comforts and purchases just because it feels good. Later, with too many calories added and too much cash spent you could be left with regret. Stay within your budget and diet. However, if you’ve been being overindulgent, the craving could be a flip to healthier foods and curbing excess spending.
Adding surprises and opportunities to this is the sextile of Venus to Uranus. Venus rules relationships, love, culture, art, jewelry and other valuable objects of beauty. Uranus is all about surprises, change, freedom and liberation. Auspicious surprises are possible on both a personal and socio-political fronts. A new love, new financial opportunity or that valuable find are definitely in the mix. Communities may be surprised with an opportunity to make a positive cultural or political change. New laws may come from a buildup of shared feelings and motivations reaching a climax. In the end, we may find that somethings were shadowed in order to bring to light others. You may not want to face what is hidden in the murky shadows but you may be handed a gift from the Universe if you do.
